| Feb. 21st, 2006 05:09 pm Another Horrid Day...and no hope for the weekend Okay....this morning I got up and was ready to leave by 6:50 as always. I get in the living room...mom says we aren't leave til 7:30...okay, I ALWAYS get to school an hour early..if i don't...it totally screws up my day, because I have to have time to walk around and socialize otherwise ..i don't know my day just sucks...plus its a good time to play catch up in the homework area. Anyway..I was like...you're kidding me ...why?...and She said she had to get blood work done at 8 and didn't feel like sitting in the doctor's parking lot waiting for the place to open. So I asked if I could see If mindy could take me...she just went off and started saying I was selfish and what not....So not my fault this time...She has such horrible menopausal hormonal screwed up issues...so after school i told her I was sorry...when we got home she just started in on me again...and i told her I was leaving...and she told me to go and then she would call the police or whatever...so I was like..I'm going to melissas and she was like you aren't going anywhere...so from there just came more yelling...at one point i was going to the barn and she said..AFTER YOU SLAMMED THAT DOOR THE WAY YOU DID DON"T EVEN BEGIN TO THINK YOU ARE GOING OUT W/ SAM, RYAN, AND NATE THIS WEEKEND!!!... and I said...WELL THATS GREAT CUZ IM JUST DYING TO SPEND MY WEEKEND WITH A WITCH LIKE YOU!...so yeah..when dad gets home...which should be in about 10 mins...I'm in for it...but my weekend will not be screwed up by her...IM STILL GOING OUT W/ MY BOYS!!!!!...no matter what!...and she can say all she wants to about me ....I swear I spend half my time trying to be the perfect daughter...but as long as she is my mother...thats an impossible goal to ever reach...she will always see my flaws...so ..yeah... I'm really having to hold back from telling her to go screw herself...that would NOT be good...I wish I could live w/ my sister but their house is too small :(. | Feb. 20th, 2006 11:58 pm So, Dilema of the week. Spring Break is so close, yet so far away. Ohio, my spring break adventure. My, used to be home. I moved when I was two, yet I always thought of it as home. Now its different though, all my cousins are about a decade older than me, and are growing up and moving on with their lives. I always promised myself that I wouldn't let me lose touch with my family. It's hard if everyone isn't equally willing to try. I recently found though, that I myself am avoiding my family. For example, Ryno had a birthday party on the same day my aunt and uncle came to visit, and for once in my life, I would have rather been with my friends. Which is weird. My aunt and uncle mean the world to me, and so does the rest of my family. The older I get though, the more I realize that I'm the one who is even holding all of our family together, but I'm beginning to lose interest, because as much as I love my biological family, I have realized something. Just because we are bonded by blood lines and family trees, its just anatomy and paper, it really doesn't mean as much as the friends who become like family through out your life, and while I often worry about losing my family, I would feel much worse to neglect my real family, and by REAL family, I mean the one I choose to have, the one who I picked, and they picked me...the best thing about your family that isn't tied together by ancestry, is that they don't feel obligated to love you, because you have the same uncle or aunt, cousin or grandmother, it's because they genuinely see something about you thats worth sticking around for. As much as I used to love Ohio, and think it was my home town, Kentucky is my home town, it's where my new found family is, and if they move, my home town will be where ever they are...because with out your family, it's not home at all, its just another place on a map.
